Summoning

Summoning basics

Summons are creations you make inside Summon Worlds. There are many kinds of summons: characters, items, weapons, locations, spells and more. We make it really easy to create summons: with just a little bit of detail, our AI crafts a rich summon with backstories, stats and artwork.

  1. Prompting Your Summon:
    • Begin by providing a name and description for your summon.
    • For example, to create a dragon named Belgogoroth, you might describe it as a “fire dragon with large wings who lives in a dark cavern”.
    • The more detailed your description, the more personalized your summon will be.
  2. Image Styles:
    • Choose from various artistic styles for your summon’s artwork.
    • Options include epic fantasy, anime, futuristic, and more.
    • This style choice influences the visual appearance of your summon.

Tips for better summons

  • Be succinct yet descriptive in your prompts. As prompts get longer, AI models have difficulty remembering the details.
  • Describe all the details you want: physical appearance, abilities, backstory details, etc.
  • Summon Worlds is fully compatible with 5e. So if you talk about alignment or stats, the AI will take that into account. You can be vague (e.g. “very strong monster”) or detailed (e.g. ”large monstrosity, 17 hp, 13 con”)
  • Avoid any graphic content. Our AI models will not generate images that feature nudity, extreme violence or hate.

Editing summons

With a pro membership, you can edit every aspect of your summon, from stats to backstories. You can change the details of your summon, add new images, rearrange them, or hide certain images as needed. Editing allows for complete customization of your summons.

Publishing, sharing and organization

Once satisfied with your summon, you can share it publicly. Tap the Publish button on your Summon to publish it. Shared summons appear in other users’ feeds and are searchable within the app.

You can also create Collections, which allow you to organize your summons for easy access and categorization. For example, you could create a collection of summons for specific campaign themes or character types. Add a Summon to a collection by tapping the Add to collection button on the summons. You can do this for your own Summons as well as ones made by others.

Using Summons in roleplay

You can use Summons in roleplay in two different ways.

  1. In Campaigns: Once you create a Campaign, you can add a summon to that campaign. You can use the summons as NPCs, collectibles, weapons, or anything else.
  2. In AI Chat: Tap the Chat button on any Summon to start an AI chat with the Summon. You’ll be able to engage in a scenario with the Summon that is entirely up to you: it can be combat, dialogue, adventure or anything else you like.
